I bring you a message from Sam, your beautiful and inimitable club founder and owner. She has instructed me to inform you that if we do not get the same number of people voting in the contest as the number of people who entered--in other words, if you entered the contest, then you need to vote--then we will be unable to award any prizes.

So far only 4 people have voted. It is impossible to award any prizes given this fact.

All of us are busy and those of us in the U.S. are getting ready for school to begin soon, so we cannot prolong the contest.

Please note the club with your choice for poetry and prose by Tuesday, July 22nd CDT U.S.

So far I have only had THREE people submit votes and yet more than a dozen people entered the competition. And not everyone who has voted, submitted a vote in both categories. The prose category is not a large one, so reading those submissions is not a time consuming job.

We need everyone's participation. While the voting is open to ALL club members, I would certainly expect--if not require--everyone who entered something in the contest to vote. And ample opportunity was given for people to recruit friends as members of the club both to earn points and votes.

I am donating the prizes out of my personal funds, however, at this point I don't have enough votes to award a first, second, and third prize in either or both categories.

I know there are people who have been online and/or visited the club page but still have yet to note us with their vote.

I am sure you are aware that any club is only as good as the participation of its members.

I hope the day where you are is as beautiful as where I am!

Just a gentle reminder that you have two days remaining to submit poetry and/or prose for our Love Over Distance contest. The deadline is Tuesday, July 15th at midnight U.S. Central Daylight Time. (that's where I live). Here's a conversion chart www.timeanddate.com/worldclock…

You will have one week to read the various submissions in the poetry and prose sections (see links below) and note the club account with one vote per category. Please do not ask to change your vote once you have submitted your choices. Voting will close at midnight U.S. CDT on Tuesday July 22nd. I need to give everyone a week to have a chance to read everything.

Only club members will be allowed to vote.
One vote per category per member.
Only votes submitted via private note to the club account will be counted.
Votes made via Favourites, journal comments, or deviation comments will not be considered.

In the event of a tie, Sam and I will break the tie. I hope this doesn't happen because I would be hard pressed to choose. You guys have outdone yourselves!

It does not seem to be possible any longer to get a one month trial sub to dA, so the first and second place winners in each category will receive 3 month subs as prizes. The third place winner in each category will receive a Feature for two weeks in my journal unless someone steps up to offer a prize. If you would be willing to feature someone in your journal, please note the club.

UPDATE:
Hey Everyone!
There is one week remaining in our Love Over Distance contest and we are thrilled at the number of entries in the poetry and prose categories. We would love to see more. I know some of you have wonderful things in your galleries--or inside your heads--so please submit.

Remember you earn points for recruiting members so tell your friends. Sam will fill you in on that later.

1st place:
First place for the winner of the Poetry category will be a 3 month sub and first place for the Prose category will be a 3 month sub.

Second place:
Second place for each of the categories will be a one month sub.

Third place:
If no one donates any prizes, then I will feature the third place winners in my journal for 2 weeks. If someone donates anything, including a feature in their journal, then we will adjust accordingly.

Voting:
Sam and I have decided that for this contest, voting will be for club members only and will be private. So, please add the club to your Friends list and/or note us if you want to join if you do not plan to participate in this contest. You do not have to enter the contest to vote.

We will ask each club member to send a note to the club (not our individual accounts) with their choice for first place in each of the two categories. The votes will remain confidential between Sam and myself--sexy men driving wild horses couldn't drag it out of me.

We will send a note to everyone with details in a few days. Meanwhile, feel free to go ahead and read the submissions in the the club gallery. Links to each section can be found below.

I will be sending a test note to all club members today and then again right before voting. If you are reading this and you do not receive a test note today, please let us know.
