I stare at the stars
or the cloud-filled sky

Airplanes pass
and birds are free
I'm stuck in the sand
for what seems like eternity

Alone in the cold
wishing I possessed

Creatures of darkness
haunt my nights
threatening to snuff out
our love like a light
To the isolated mind
So real does it seem
The severs of ties
These hauntings of dreams
My days are filled with dread
But my nights could be sweet
